Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a great game with a compelling and excellently performed story. There are still ties back to the original series for fans, and still plenty of tense stealth section, but this is more action adventure with combat that offers a decent challenge. A new way to adapt the mythology of the Minotaur is the cherry that tops this experience.
Lou's Lagoon is a cosy game and it can feel chill just flying around, collecting resources, and carrying out the requests of the people you meet. The story is fine and the world has a nice and colourful layout to it, but the general platforming needs improvement to avoid getting stuck in the environment so much, and a bug that appeared after completing the story put a stop to me playing much further.
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a decent fighter, but it isn't going to transform the Avatar franchise into a gaming powerhouse. The fighting can be fun, but the roster is a mixed bag, the story a bit weak, and there's currently no ranked mode in multiplayer. Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a good game, but it isn't a top tier fighting game.
The sharp and snappy arcade action of KAZ is so simple, and yet it's so compelling as you build up your score through round after round. It's a fun game that can really get its hooks into you, and definitely deserves attention from score chasers.
WILL: Follow The Light shows potential through its opening but doesn't deliver on its premise. What should have been a high-stakes story becomes a dull journey, and the story beats don't hit as they should. The sailing is, at least, excellently done, but more focus should have been on that.
Copa City has potential and with regular updates it could become a really good tycoon management game surrounding football events. However, it needs issues to be addressed like performance and for things to be better explained so players are not overwhelmed with quests that introduce new things without a heads up.
NBA The Run plays a fast and fun game of basketball, but there's not a great deal of depth to keep you coming back time and time again.
Realm of Ink is a very good roguelite that plays well and uses East Asian mythology as a great basis to tell its story. Being able to create some really powerful builds and demolish enemies, but it can also be considered a rather easy experience despite higher difficulty settings.
Mina the Hollower has the weight of expectation upon it, and it's a game that meets many of them. The retro aesthetic is lovely, the world is well made, the boss fights are varied, and there is a lot to find, but it also has its frustrations. Poor navigation is the main factor that sucked some of the enjoyment out, with the game really wanting a better map to aid you. Still, Yacht Club Games has made a good game overall with Mina the Hollower.
Motorslice is a game that needs a few patches to sort out some of the clunkier elements of its traversal, like the parkour and jumps not landing as they should. There is some awkwardness with dialogue choices but they can be ignored as they have no bearing on the story. The world itself is well designed but it needs more substance when it comes to enemies too.
Rumbral feels like it is just getting going when you hit the credits. There is a sufficiently good atmosphere and decent designs, but the lack of an engaging story to draw you in and some sluggish gameplay elements does let the overall experience down.
Adorable Adventures is a fine, cosy, laid-back experience. There's a good amount to do, from hunting scents to taking photos, and it entertains through the few hours that it lasts. It never really changes gear, though. Still, if you want a short and cosy experience, Adorable Adventures is worth considering.
Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth is a lovely game. There are some fun quests to undertake in locations that have been designed well, with the added bonus of cutting paths through the snow.
Dosa Divas is a culinary adventure worth going on, its unique flavour combining solid turn-based combat, a simple cooking minigame, and a story that will make you reflect on your own relationships. It's a game that explores how food and meals can be experiences that bring people together. If nothing else, Dosa Divas may inspire you to get in the kitchen, put some dishes together and share those meals with others.
Love Eternal is an experience that lingers, with a story that can be interpreted in many ways depending on your own views. It's both unnerving and tough, which will appeal to those who enjoy the challenge of precision platformers, but it may prove frustrating to those with slower reactions than the game demands.
Ratcheteer DX is not a bad game, but it does have issues that stop it from being great. The story and the world that we see is well put together, but navigating that world can be a chore at times. It is a game that has moments of brilliance through its puzzling, yet I can't look past some of the game's more frustrating elements.
MIO: Memories In Orbit is an early contender for one of the most memorable games of 2026. It is an incredibly challenging game to play, with combat being a highlight, even if some platforming section can be frustrating. It looks fantastic, though, and the story is well told. MIO: Memories In Orbit draws you in, and does not let go easily. It is hard game but the journey is worth experiencing.
Big Hops is a good new 3D platformer that will draw plenty of fans with its fun abilities and locations to explore. My playthrough was affected by bugs, with patches coming to address some of these issues in the run up to launch, but there seem to be some teething issues that remain.
UNBEATABLE is a good rhythm action adventure game, with it highlights being its visual style and the arcade mode. The story is fine, but can feel all over the place at times with a script that isn't the best, but the music through the game is good and there are a couple of standout tracks. It has been a while since a decent rhythm game came out, so it is worth giving UNBEATABLE a shot.
Death Howl has a strong central theme to it, the cards are well made, and there's a decent variety to build out decks. But it is also a game that can require a lot of repetitive grinding to make small amounts of progress, and the quests could have been better designed.
